Sharing My Experience at the 8th SYSAAF Technical Days

I had the opportunity to attend and present my research at the 8th Journées Techniques Inter Filières du SYSAAF, held on October 15–16, 2025, at Rennes in France. The event brought together researchers, professionals, and students working on genetics and reproduction in avian, aquatic, and insect species — a truly interdisciplinary meeting full of inspiring discussions.

During the “Biotechnology of Reproduction” session, I presented my project titled:
“CryoStore: Germline transmission and competition between endogenous and exogenous primordial germ cells.”
This work focuses on understanding how transplanted primordial germ cells (PGCs) interact and compete with the host’s own germ cells — a crucial step for improving germline transmission efficiency in genetic conservation programs.

Participating in this conference was a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from colleagues working on diverse species, and gain feedback that will help refine the next stages of my research. I especially appreciated the collaborative and supportive atmosphere that SYSAAF promotes among young scientists.

Overall, the event was both scientifically enriching and personally rewarding. I left with new insights, new contacts, and renewed motivation to continue advancing research in avian biotechnology and genetic resource preservation.
