Firouzeh Sadeghzadeh at the 9th SYSAAF Technical Days | 14–15 October, 2026 in Rennes, France
The 9th SYSAAF Technical Days took place on 14–15 October 2026 in Rennes, France. This event brought together researchers and professionals working in poultry, aquaculture and insect breeding to share their work, discuss new ideas and exchange experiences.
For me, it was a great opportunity to step outside my daily research routine, meet people working in different fields and discover the variety of research being carried out. Listening to other researchers and learning about their projects reminded me how much we can learn from sharing our experiences and looking at scientific questions from different perspectives.
I also had the opportunity to present my PhD research on donor-recipient compatibility in the transplantation of transgenic primordial germ cells (PGCs) in chickens. I was very happy and proud to receive the Young Researchers Award for my presentation.
This recognition meant a lot to me. Preparing the presentation and discussing my work with the audience was a valuable learning experience, and it encouraged me to continue developing my research and improving the way I communicate science.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me throughout this journey. Beyond the award, I am taking home new ideas, valuable exchanges and great memories from these two days.
